Unikátní architektura v nejmladším městě Havířově

Teprve v padesátých letech dvacátého století se na půli cesty mezi Ostravou a Českým Těšínem začaly stavět typické obytné domy v architektonickém stylu Sorela, tedy socialistickém realismu. Domy tvořily osu nového Havířova, který měl poskytnout střechu nad hlavou desítkám tisíc pracovníků v průmyslu a hornictví.

 

Ten v té době zažíval v regionu nebývalý rozmach. Tehdejší stavitelé a obyvatelé asi stěží tušili, že ještě do konce století se stanou jejich domy součástí chráněné památkové zóny. Navíc, díky zachovalosti obytných domů a každoroční květinové výzdobě ulic je Havířov jedním z nejpěknějších moderních českých měst.
